Temporary Groundskeeper

The School Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the schools outdoor areas to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves landscaping, lawn care, minor outdoor repairs, seasonal maintenance, and ensuring all grounds-related facilities are functional and well-kept.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform routine lawn care including mowing, edging, weeding, watering, and fertilizing.Maintain trees, shrubs, and flower beds by pruning, trimming, and planting as needed.Clear walkways, parking lots, and entrances of debris, snow, and ice using appropriate tools and materials.Inspect and maintain playgrounds, outdoor seating areas, fences, and athletic fields.Operate and perform basic maintenance on landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers).Dispose of yard waste and manage composting or recycling efforts.Perform minor outdoor repairs, such as patching walkways or replacing signage.Report safety hazards, needed repairs, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.Assist with setup and cleanup of outdoor school events and activities.Follow all safety guidelines and school policies.Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Valid drivers licensePrevious experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related work.Ability to operate groundskeeping tools and equipment safely.Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
