Summary of Job Duties:

Assist Guests with currency exchange, voucher cash-in, marker issuance and check cashing. Conduct financial transactions for Guest and Team Members.

Specific and Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist Guests and Team Members with exchanging cash and/or coin denominations.

Assist Guests and Team Members with exchanging slot vouchers and table game chips/checks into monetary funds.

Accurately count monetary funds presented to and received from Guest and Team Members.

Properly and accurately strap, bundle and or label monetary funds.

Count all coin and paper monies with the use of automated machines.

Properly and accurately complete all paperwork required by in-house, local, state and federal agencies.

Use a 10-key calculator.

Properly verify all checks being cashed through the casino cage by using all established internal standards up to and including checking with Certegy.

Complete Table Games and Slot Department fills.

Complete Slot Department jackpots.

Distribute Table Games dealer tokes.

Follow all gaming regulations.

Maintain confidentiality of customers' transactions.

Count funds and reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance books.

Convert gaming checks, coupons, tokens, and coins to currency for gaming patrons.

Maintain cage security.

Verify accuracy of reports such as authorization forms, transaction reconciliations, and exchange summary reports.

Cash checks and process credit card advances for patrons.

Sell gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to patrons or to other workers for resale to patrons.

Perform removal and rotation of cash, coin, and chip inventories as necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous cash handling experience preferred.

6 months previous experience as a casino cage cashier required.

Machinery or Work Equipment Used:

Jet-Sort machine, Bill Counter

Multi-line telephone, fax machine, personal computer, printer, copier, paper shredder and scanner.

Physical Requirements of Job:

Rarely - the activity is performed from 1% - 25% of the duration of the shift.

Occasionally - the activity is performed from 26% - 50% of the duration of the shift.

Frequently - the activity is performed from 51% - 75% of the duration of the shift.

Continuously - the activity is performed from 76% - 100% of the duration of the shift.
