Associate - Porter

Position: Porter/Dishwasher

At Joseph’s Classic Market, cleanliness and sanitation are essential to delivering the best gourmet shopping experience. Our Porters and Dishwashers keep both the front and back of the store spotless, safe, and welcoming for customers and team members.

Routine Tasks:

• Properly clean dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc.
• Clean display windows, shelves, and fixtures
• Clean shopping carts and hand baskets; retrieve carts from the parking lot throughout the day
• Remove trash from all departments
• Operate dishwasher, pallet jack, knives, and other cleaning/warehouse equipment safely
• Communicate with managers if assistance is needed in any department
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
• A passion for serving people

A Porter/Dishwasher performs their tasks in multiple locations, from the dishwashing area to the front of the store. Work involves walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds. Work also includes frequent interaction with fellow employees.
