Brief SummaryThis Job: Receptionist
You'll Report To: AVP of Human Resources
The Receptionist will perform duties of answering and directing telephone calls, greeting and announcing visitors, and performing a wide range of general office routines in support of the organization’s activities and services, while working within the limits of prescribed routines.
What Youll Do- Answers incoming calls, determines nature of business, transfers calls, and/or takes messages as needed.
- Greets clients, new employees, vendors, etc., ascertains nature of visit, and directs them to appropriate individuals.
- Types memos, labels, letters, reports and other correspondence as needed.
- Opens and routes incoming mail; prepares outgoing mail daily.
- Coordinates our FedEx, UPS, etc. daily deliveries and mailings
- Checks figures and statistics for various reports; copies and distributes reports as assigned.
- Coordinates daily use of conference rooms.
- Completes various administrative duties including copying, filling, and faxing as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
What Youll Need to be a Top Candidate
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one year experience as a receptionist and answering a multi-line phone system or any similar combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Microsoft Windows and Office Suite experience required. Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, details, and interruptions. Ability to maintain confidentiality, maintain a high degree of tact and professionalism.
Hours: 8:30-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. #LI-Onsite
Working Conditions: Normal business office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery or communicate with coworkers. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds.
