UC Riverside's Auxiliary Facilities Services is recruiting for multiple Senior Building Maintenance Workers. The full salary range for the Senior Building Maintenance Worker is $25.34 - $33.43 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Under the supervision of a Facilities Supervisor, the Senior Building Maintenance Worker (SBMW) assists with the performance of maintenance services or special project work within Auxiliary Facilities Services. Performs a wide variety of semi-skilled building maintenance tasks including event setups, furniture/equipment moves, reconfiguration of office furniture. Setup shelving, student room furniture installations, disassembly and reconfiguration of student room furniture, installation of playground equipment, and similar projects. Performs minor repairs on Custodial services power equipment, pressure washers, vacuums, etc. Assist Auxiliary Facilities Services skilled crafts staff building mechanical systems repairs & preventive maintenance. Independently performs semi-skilled building maintenance work at SBMW level to include but not limited to: changing HVAC filters, unclog plumbing fixture drains using hand auger or plunger, unclog HVAC condensate drains using vacuum or compressed air, repair window blinds, repair door hardware (levers, hinges, closer, door stops), repair furniture/cabinets (knobs, hinges, handles), replace burnt out lamps and broken/missing electrical cover plates, replace faucet & shower valve cartridges, replace toilet flappers, diaphragms, & seats, repair flooring/cove base, minor wall holes and touch up paint, assist with TV's, minor appliances and adjusting thermostats. Assists both Maintenance & Custodial Services with responding to emergency situations to mitigate and/or resolve immediate building maintenance concerns or safety issues. Performs all job duties in adherence with University and departmental safety guidelines. Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, residents and guests.
