We are seeking a Head Baker to lead our artisan Bakery and inspire both our baking team and our baristas.
This is not just a baking job - it's a chance to shape a community landmark. Our Bakery serves resort guests, banquet events, and fine dining experiences, while also becoming a daily favorite for locals. You'll be baking in an open, guest-facing kitchen and have the creative freedom to develop recipes, co-design special event desserts with our Executive Chefs over Banquets and Z's Restaurant and establish The Bakery as a signature cafe in the region.
What You'll Do
Bake and create artisan breads, pastries, cakes and desserts for our cafe, banquets, and fine dining outlets.
Lead, mentor, and train both bakers and baristas.
Bring creativity to seasonal menus, holiday offerings, and community events.
Ensure top-quality guest experiences in both product and service.

Supervises: BOH Bakers (2 -3), FOH Baristas (4-6 seasonal)
Key Responsibilities
Production & Creativity
Bake, decorate, and oversee daily production of breads, pastries, and desserts.
Create seasonal recipes, specialty items, and event-based designs (banquets, weddings, holidays).
Collaborate with Z's Restaurant chefs and Banquet team for desserts and special menus.
Leadership & Training
Mentor, train, and inspire both bakers and baristas to deliver excellence in product quality and guest service.
Lead by example in craftsmanship, cleanliness, efficiency, and hospitality.
Build schedules, manage labor costs, and align staffing with business demands.
Guest Engagement & Visibility
Represent the Bakery as a visible and approachable leader in an open-kitchen setting.
Interact with guests, share knowledge, and cultivate a welcoming environment.
Elevate the Bakery as the go-to cafe for locals and a memorable highlight for resort guests.
Operations & Standards
Maintain consistent food quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
Manage ordering, inventory, and vendor relations.
Qualifications
Qualifications
5+ years of professional baking/pastry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Demonstrated ability to produce artisan breads, laminated doughs, cakes, and desserts.
Strong leadership skills with a passion for teaching and motivating others.
Excellent communication skills with both staff and guests.
Knowledge of cost control, inventory, and menu development.
Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
Previous experience in a resort, hotel, or high-volume bakery cafe.
Culinary or Pastry Arts degree or equivalent professional training.
Familiarity with specialty coffee and barista operations.
