Job Summary: Represent a positive image of the healthcare facility by maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Provide exceptional support to patients, staff, visitors, and vendors through professional and hospitable non-clinical services.
Key Responsibilities:- Housekeeping: Utilize a seven-step cleaning process to ensure optimal cleanliness and safety in assigned areas. Tasks include cleaning patient rooms, dusting, sanitizing, waste removal, bathroom cleaning, floor care, and inspection. Complete unscheduled tasks as directed and replenish room supplies.
- Laundry and Pack Room: Process linens by sorting, drying, ironing, folding, packing, and distributing according to policies. Maintain cleanliness and order in linen areas, conduct inventories, and manage linen orders for satellite locations. Inspect surgical linens, perform quality assurance, and pack components per case specifications.
- Combined Duties: Maintain assigned equipment, demonstrate proper use of chemicals and tools, and report needed repairs promptly.
- Performance Standards: Adhere to attendance, training, uniform, and departmental meeting requirements. Follow department standards for learning and performance evaluation.
- Guest Relations: Exhibit courtesy, compassion, and respect in all interactions, fostering a welcoming environment.
- Compliance and Safety: Report any signs of abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions. Protect patient and staff privacy. Follow infection control, emergency preparedness, and safety policies.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, take initiative to complete tasks, assist peers, and communicate professionally and respectfully.
- Additional Duties: Report maintenance needs, respond to emergencies as assigned, and complete safety incident reports promptly.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous related experience is advantageous.
