Job Description:
SCOPE: The Guest Services Receptionist services as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. The role is responsibility for creating a welcoming and compassionate environment, ensuring an exceptional patient experience form arrival to departure. The Receptionist provides information, directions, assistance with transportation and appointments, and coordinates with clinic and support teams to meet individual patient needs.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Greet and assist guests upon arrival in a professional and friendly manner
2. Assist guests with verifying appointment/ meeting details and presenting to the correct location
3. Respond promptly to patient inquires and concerns, escalating to the appropriate contact when necessary
4. Monitor and manage lobby and waiting area environments to ensure comfort and cleanliness
5. Support other functions and special programs related to the patient experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Customer service experience required
Healthcare customer service experience highly preferred
Experience working with patients or vulnerable populations preferred
