Food Service Assistant Location: Windham, CT Schedule: Open 7 days/week with flexible scheduling across three positions Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated and versatile Food Service Assistants to join our team. This role offers flexibility across multiple shifts and responsibilities, including food preparation, cooking, tray service, and dishwashing. Ideal candidates will have experience in foodservice operations and a strong commitment to cleanliness, efficiency, and teamwork. Available Shifts: Tray Passing/Dishwashing: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Cooking/Food Prep: 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM Additional shifts may be available based on operational needs. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines Assist with food prep including chopping, portioning, and assembling trays Deliver trays to designated areas and ensure timely service Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain cleanliness of kitchenware Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment Follow safety and hygiene protocols at all times Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations Required Skills & Experience: Prior experience in foodservice, line cooking, or dishwashing preferred Ability to work early morning shifts and weekends as needed Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with good communication skills Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
