SUMMARY
We’re seeking a hands-on and experienced Food & Beverage Director / Catering Manager to lead and oversee catering operations, with a strong emphasis on high-end weddings and special events. This role is ideal for a seasoned operator who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment and excels at both strategic oversight and on-the-ground execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the flawless execution of catering events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
Review and manage event orders, timelines, and logistics to troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless service.
Lead all staffing initiatives, including hiring, training, scheduling, and team development.
Collaborate with culinary, sales, and operations teams to ensure cohesive event delivery.
Create and refine systems, service standards, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Provide strong on-site leadership, mentoring team members, and maintaining a high-energy, professional atmosphere.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of leadership experience in banquets, catering, or high-volume event operations (private clubs, boutique catering, or luxury venues preferred).
Proven success stepping up from Banquet Manager or equivalent role into a senior operations leadership position.
Strong understanding of both FOH and BOH operations; background as a Chef or culinary professional a plus.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and delegation skills.
Professional demeanor, hospitality mindset, and ability to stay composed under pressure.
Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk for extended periods during events.
