The Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while interacting closely with guests and providing quality service, enhancing the customers experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available and requests additional supplies as necessary
- Follows set-up procedures
- Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks
- Greets all guests in a courteous manner, with a smile and direct eye contact
- Mixes, prepares, and serves drinks according to the recipes approved by management
- Collects payment for drinks served
- Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur
- Maintains and cleans equipment
- Cleans and locks-up according to set procedures
- Maintains professionalism and discretion at all times
- Reports any incident or accident and other issues to management in a timely manner
- Performs all duties in adherence to OTOW standards
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Bartender required
- SERV-SAFE Certified
- Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses/certificates
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be able to read, write and understand English, have good verbal and written communication skills and write professional business correspondences
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Must be outgoing, self-confident, enthusiastic and motivating, with an understanding of human psychology, and possess strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively present information to management, customers, and staff
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Ability to respond calmly to customer questions and concerns
- Strong humanistic skills, good judgment, listening skills and the ability to express thoughts clearly and simply are essential

Certifications and Licenses
- Certifications: Certified Bartender, SERV-SAFE, and applicable food handling/sanitation certifications required
- A valid Florida Drivers License with acceptable driving history is preferred
