We are currently seeking dedicated and energetic individuals to join our Culinary Services team as Independent Living Servers . As a IL Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the exceptional dining experience for our residents. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area and providing excellent customer service.
RiverMead is a not-for-profit, full-service LifeCare Community in Peterborough, New Hampshire. As a full-service community, we offer various services and amenities to our residents and the opportunity to work in a caring and supportive environment.
We have a $1.50 per-hour weekend differential that runs from Friday at 5:00 PM to Sunday at midnight.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to our culinary department by creating an enjoyable environment for residents and their guests. Through exemplary and courteous service that is in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations, you will be contributing to fostering a comfortable and pleasant dining experience for our residents.
On any given day you will...
- Ensure an enjoyable dining experience for residents, guests, and staff by providing attentive service and maintaining a clean environment.
- Upon residents and guests arriving, pour water in a timely manner and return to take beverage orders within two minutes of residents/ guests.
- Accurately take orders and serve them in a timely manner.
- Follow proper clearing techniques for each course and ensure residents have the correct flatware for dessert and coffee. Clean work area and equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, near environment for residents, self, and other staff.
- Address questions/ comments about service and food quality during meal periods, promptly resolving issues.
- Follow established style and order of service while serving or bussing in the dining venues and during special functions.
- Follow pantry timeline to ensure all duties are completed on time.
- Ensure all requested items are inside "to-go baskets" before they are distributed to residents.
- Perform other duties needed to help drive out Vision, fulfill out Mission, and abide by our organizations Values.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of high school required.
- Ability to take oral and written instruction well.
- Demonstrate knowledge of how to communicate effectively with all individuals, especially those of the geriatric population.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
