Guest Host, Food Runner and Service Specialist

Join Our Guest Service Team!

The Pangaea Dinosaur Grill ( ) is looking for a new, part-time team member to join our team! Position pays $16 - $18 per hour depending upon experience plus guaranteed shared tips (Average hourly rate plus shared tips is greater than $20 per hour). Shifts needed include Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays.

Working Hours of Operation
Sunday - Friday: 11:00am - 4:30pm
Saturday: 10:45am - 6:30pm

Primary Host Responsibilities:

Invite potential guests by sharing positive information about the restaurant, food and overall experience
Maintain real time information about which tables are available for prospective guests
Communicate wait times accurately to guests and keep them updated
Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables
Gather and maintain menus at the host station
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front area of the restaurant

Primary Food Runner Duties:

Maintain knowledge of menu items
Garnish and transport food from the expo line to guests tables promptly and accurately
Describe dishes briefly to guests and address basic questions about menu items
Communicate any special requests or dietary needs to the server and/or kitchen as needed
Ensure the presentation of food follows restaurant standards

General Service Duties:

Assist in clearing and resetting tables for a fast turnover
Refill water glasses and deliver condiments or other requested items to tables
Stock and organize supplies in the dining area, host stand, and kitchen
Help maintain cleanliness in front-of-house areas, including sweeping and tidying up
Assist in bussing (clearing and cleaning tables) when necessary

Qualifications:

Strong, positive interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
Prior experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred
Sales experience a plus
All team members required to pass E-Verify for employment

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 15 pounds
Comfortable walking quickly between the kitchen and dining areas
