Houseperson Banquets (Part-Time)

Job Functions:

• Assist with all aspect of the event space from setup, clean-up and general maintenance
• Anticipate and address client's needs during an event
• Possess a thorough knowledge of various room setup per BEO/GEO
• Complete work assignments on the set up, service and clean up of an event
• Attend pre-shift meetings and complete assignments for the set up, service and clean up of the event center
• Maintains safe working standards
• Communicate with lead houseperson/banquet manager on any equipment issues
• Possess an awareness and reports any potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns
• Ensure all uniform appearance standards are maintained
• Attends periodical meetings with the lead houseperson and banquet manager
• All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year or more related experience
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests, supervisors, and team members
• Ability to work flexible shifts, hours, and days of the week, including holidays and weekends
• Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process and maintain all licensing requirements
• Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to communicate verbally with other staff in fast-paced environment
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Able to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
• Regularly required to stoop or kneel and stand for long periods of time
• Regularly required to move with a sense of urgency, including pivoting and shuffling
