Position Overview:
The Sanderling is looking for a full-time Line Cook to join our talented team. Whether you're helping deliver a plated dinner service, prepping for a busy weekend crowd, or supporting a special event, you’ll work in a fast-paced, team-driven setting. We’re looking for cooks who take pride in their craft, communicate well, and show up ready to work.
Starting Pay: $20 / Hour – Based on Experience
Responsibilities:
- Set up and service lunch/dinner lines and cold stations according to restaurant standards
- Review production needs from the previous day and prepare accordingly
- Cook food to order while maintaining consistent quality and presentation
- Prepare miscellaneous food items and garnish plates as required
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and workstations
- Assist in inventory control and requisition supplies as needed
- Maintain a smooth and efficient operation during high-volume meal services
Position Requirements:
- 2-year culinary degree or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant or resort kitchen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality food preparation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
