Blue Heron Community Co-op is a worker and community owned bakery and cafe that has been serving Olympia and beyond since 1977, specializing in healthy and alternative options for a variety of diets.

We have a roomy well-lit kitchen full of hardworking, team-oriented coworkers. We are growing daily and we need support in the form of a reliable and thorough dishwasher. We are looking for team players who can follow instruction while also being able to take initiative to seek out new projects to tackle. Interest in natural foods, food preparation, and cooperative ownership is also important.

The position:
Successful candidates will have a can-do attitude, and a solid and focused work ethic. Flexibility and adaptability are key.
We feel that dishwashers are the foundation of every good kitchen, sharing in the making of good food by providing clean tools and equipment for their teammates. All the production workers at Blue Heron have also spent time washing dishes so they will definitely value and appreciate your contribution.
This position is also responsible for cleaning equipment, floors, workstations, and ensuring all dishes are spotlessly washed quickly and efficiently. Other duties include unloading supply palettes, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by management of which you are capable of performing. In addition to the dishwasher duties, there will also be some food packaging.

The shifts we are trying to fill are very specific and will be stable: Wed - Sunday 10-5.

What we offer:

Requirements:
Ability to operate a dish machine.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds repeatedly.
Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods of time to perform normal job functions.
High attention to detail and good dexterity needed for packaging product.
Hold or willing to obtain a valid Washington State Food Handlers Card.
Be at least 18 years old.
Able to reliably work every weekend.
