The New York Athletic Club has set the standard in hospitality since its founding in 1868. After a multi-million dollar renovation, the NYAC is debuting Manhattan’s newest rooftop experience. The Solarium will provide an upscale casual dining and cocktails experience with sweeping views in an unrivaled setting. This is an opportunity for seasoned fine dining professionals to bring to life one of New York City's most stunning spaces.

The ideal candidate will make Members and guests feel welcomed the moment they enter the space, utilizing strong interpersonal, communication, and fine dining skills to create a warm and elegant atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems, including Aloha and Micros.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations and enhance guest experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

• ·ighly personable, professional, and engaging, with stellar verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Firm understanding of luxury hospitality and fine dining.
• Must have POS experience.
• Possesses a passion for exceeding expectations and a commitment to excellence that results in providing the highest-quality member and guest experience.
• Flexible attitude for given tasks and adjustment of schedule when needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
