Lead Server Hillside Resort Wentworth, SD Posted/Updated: Today Job Description Job Title: Lead Server Company: Hillside Resort Location: Wentworth, SD (Lake Madison) Job Type: Part-Time (Seasonal and Year-Round Opportunities Available) Job Description: Hillside Resort is looking for a strong, reliable Lead Server to help guide the team and set the tone for service on the floor. This role is for someone who leads by example, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to take care of both guests and the team. We operate in a busy lake environment, especially in the summer, so being able to stay calm, communicate clearly, and jump in where needed is key. Responsibilities: Lead by example with guest service and overall attitude Help guide and support servers during shifts Ensure guests are greeted, taken care of, and leave happy Assist with managing the flow of the floor and communication with kitchen/bar Step in to help wherever needed (serving, expo, bar support, hosting) Handle guest concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner Support training of new servers and reinforce service standards Assist with opening, closing, and side work completion Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining areas Follow all food safety and alcohol service guidelines Qualifications: Previous serving experience required (lead or supervisory experience preferred) Strong communication and leadership skills Able to handle a fast-paced, high-volume environment Weekend and evening availability required Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Schedule & Compensation: Hours will vary based on season and business levels. Competitive hourly wage plus tips. Pay based on experience.
