The Sonnenalp Hotel is looking for a Full Time Seasonal Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team Application DeadlineHiring will occur on a rolling basis Applications will be accepted until May 15th or until the position is filled Wage 2000 2200 hour Typical Schedule Flexible AM Shift 800 am to 430 pm or PM shift 230 pm 1100 pm Primary Purpose of Position To support the daily operations of the laundry department by ensuring all hotel linens restaurant linens employee uniforms and guest laundry are cleaned processed and maintained to the highest standards This role contributes to a consistent high quality guest experience by collaborating with the team maintaining an organized workspace and handling all laundry items with care efficiency and attention to detail Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collect wash dry and press all hotel and restaurant linens guest clothing and employees uniforms adhering to Sonnenalp standardsAssist Uniform attendants with washing pressing and issuance of all uniforms as neededKnowledge of all chemicals usedEnsure the laundry room is clean and organized dailyAssist employees with obtaining uniforms and dry cleaningWash dry iron and fold the collected linens using the preset equipment programmingImmediately report any equipment malfunctionActively participate in the monthly linen inventoryMaintain a record and help with the inventory of cleaning productsMaintain the cleanliness of the work area and the entire laundry roomShould respond to the requests of the guests supervisors and management in an efficient and timely mannerEnsure that the equipment keys and other supplies issued each day are not tampered with and are returned in good conditionInform any missing article from the laundry room to the managersupervisorMaintain a dress code and should always be neat and tidy and in a presentable manner and should be guest friendlyOther tasks as assigned by managers or supervisors EducationExperience High school diploma preferredBasic English language skills preferred ie ability to understand and respond to Guest needs and follow directionsSpecial SkillsEquipment Ability to follow hotel policies and proceduresAttention to detail and thoroughnessCommunication Skills ie listen & respond clearlyProfessionalismCustomer & Quality focusReliability DependabilityAdaptability FlexibilityTime ManagementTeam CooperationIntegrity HonestyAbility to complete assigned work under supervisionEssential Physical Requirements Work is primarily performed indoorsMachinery must be used with cautionMust be able to stand for the duration of the shiftAbility to lift push pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 10 lbs and have the ability to carry up to 50 lbs of heavy linenAbility to kneel bend crawlAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to tolerate exposure to dust elevated temperaturesand cleaning chemicalsBenefits Medical Dental Vision InsuranceResort DiscountsHoliday Pay Paid Time Off and Sick Pay401k Retirement Plan & Roth 401kVoluntary Life InsuranceShort Term & Long Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramParking Credit or Discounted Bus PassesThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills efforts duties responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time
