SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES At Tropical Smoothie Cafe, we inspire a healthier lifestyle by serving amazing food and smoothies with a bit of tropical fun! Our Crew Leaders are key to delivering on this promise which is driven by our four values: Solid Relationships, Playing to Win, Creative Spirit and Living Better. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Interacts with crew members, customers, and vendors using Tropitude (Tropitude is our mojo and what makes Tropical Smoothie Cafe fun and different. It means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere).

• Delivers Unparalleled Hospitality to each customer that visits our cafe.
• Knowledgeable and proficient in each position within the cafe.
• Successfully completed the Cafe Basics and Certified Trainer Program.
• Ensures each station is operating to Tropical Smoothie Cafes standards.
• Trains and coaches crew members during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld.
• Uses tools to accomplish goals, manage labor and control inventory using MyInventory.
• Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Experienced Tropical Smoothie Cafe Crew Member.
• Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
• Bending, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash.
• Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.
• Safely navigate in a fast-paced cafe environment.
• Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Most shifts are between six to eight hours, but this may vary.
• Crew Leaders can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend and/or holiday hours and may have additional opening/closing responsibilities.
• Lead Crew Members by demonstrating Tropical Smoothie Cafes core values in all interactions.
• Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and personal hygiene polices for each shift.
• Fun, fast-paced, upbeat environment with no fryers!

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

16 Years of Happy Customers

Weve been making and serving fresh food for as long as we can remember. Even before we opened our first cafe, we served fresh fruit smoothies from a stand on a Florida beach. Weve come a long way since then but weve remained true to our early days of pure, wholesome food.

In 1997, we opened our first restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida to give our customers a place to sit and relax while enjoying our fruit smoothies. By 1999, we added a wide range of wholesome food options to our menu that perfectly complemented our smoothies. One year later, we officially established the Tropical Smoothie Cafe name.

In 2007, we celebrated our 10 year anniversary and started our own holiday, National Flip Flop Day. On National Flip Flop Day, we raise funds to benefit Camp Sunshine and customers who visit our cafes wearing flip flops between 2pm - 7pm receive a FREE smoothie. It's a great day to bring on the sunshine in the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Today, customers continue to fall in love with Tropical Smoothie Cafe as a destination for flavor. Weve always been guided by this one simple belief: when you eat better, you feel better and when you feel better - all is better.
