Part-Time Custodian

at City of Newark in NEWARK, Delaware, United States Job Description The City seeks candidates to fill operational needs in our custodial services. This position will assist in performing routine custodial needs in City facilities. Candidates shall be motivated, hardworking, and able to execute tasks with limited guidance. All successful candidates will be required to pass a Delaware Justice Information Systems (DELJIS) criminal background screening to meet standards for service to the Newark Police Department. This is a regular, part-time position with an average of approximately 25 hours per week and a starting hourly rate of $18.64 plus paid vacation and city holidays. All candidates shall have a high school diploma, or equivalent, with the ability to operate a vehicle, maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and have availability after hours. The regular hours for these positions are either: Monday - Friday: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. OR 6 p.m.to 11 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday: 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. OR 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. The exact weekly shift will be coordinated with the selected candidate at the time of hire.
