La Chinesca is part of the 13th Street Kitchens restaurant group ( Cafe Lift, Kensington Quarters, Prohibition Taproom ). Situated in the Spring Arts District, La Chinesca , Phillys first true Mexicali dining experience, draws its inspiration from the border town in Mexico, Mexicali, where there is a unique combination of Chinese and Mexican cuisine.

Converted from an old Jiffy Lube, our restaurant shares the same lot with one of the citys premier music venues, Union Transfer. Our space has outdoor communal and lounge seating in a lush green setting in the front and back of the restaurant, which is roughly three times the size of our indoor foot print making it a one of a kind experience / destination in Philly (200+ seats indoor/outdoor).

We are looking to add strong Food Runners with experience to our growing team. Thursday through Saturday availability is a must.

Role:

Maintain cleanliness of guest tables, service stations and surrounding perimeter areas. Running food to guests from the kitchen. Support service teams in setting up of all dining areas, as well as servicing and satisfying restaurant patrons.

Responsibilities:

Promptly deliver food to tables in a confident manner
Take direction from both the kitchen and front of the house
Operate with a sense of urgency while also remaining calm and composed
Offer assistance to guests via clearing away dishes and glassware
Ensure cleanliness and stock levels of service stations throughout service

Desired Experiences and Skills:

0-1 years experience in similar position
An understanding and appreciation for food and beverage
Ability to clearly communicate guest needs to other team members
Good organizational and communication skills
Guest minded and service oriented
Punctual and dependable
Evening and weekend availability
Ability to occasionally lift up 50lbs
