Summer Cleaner/General Maintenance - Royalty Crossing Mall

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We are currently searching for a Cleaner/General Maintenance to join the team at Royalty Crossing for the summer in Charlottetown from June until the end of August. This would be a great opportunity for a student who is looking to gain some work experience. The hourly rate for this position is within the range of $19-$20 per hour.

What you will do :

• General maintenance and/or painting;

• Operate vacuum cleaners to remove dirt and other waste;

• Wash windows and interior walls;

• Clean washrooms;

• Empty trash cans and other waste containers;

• Sweep, mop, scrub hallways, floors, and stairs;

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas;

• Clean vacant units;

• Report deficiencies for repair;

• Working with the public in a shopping center environment;

• Other duties as required.

What you will bring :

• Strong organizational and time management skills;

• Ability to work as a team, and under minimal supervision;

• Proven communication skills, both written and oral;

• Ability to spend long periods of time walking/standing.
