Medical Receptionist

The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients within our eye clinic, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-office experience in a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient appointments, maintaining records, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems (EHR/EMR) Handle patient registration, forms, and documentation Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and correspondence Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception and waiting areas Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality (HIPAA) Main Postion Details: Start: Once cleared onboarding process Pay: $21.00/Hr Schedule: Mon - Fri 6:45am -3:15pm Location: St. Paul, MN Duration: 3 month contract Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical administration is a plus Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and health insurance processes Experience using EPIC Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of St Paul, MN.
