You must have demonstrated experience in: High-volume, upscale casual dining bar service Classic and craft cocktail preparation from proper technique to thoughtful presentation Wine service, including varietals, regions, food pairings, and guest-facing recommendations Beer knowledge including draft systems, craft, and imported selections Spirits knowledge across whiskey, gin, rum, tequila, vodka, and amaro categories Responsibilities Bar Service & Craft Execute a full bar menu of classic and craft cocktails with consistency, precision, and speed Provide knowledgeable and enthusiastic wine and beverage recommendations to guests Maintain proper pours, recipe adherence, and presentation standards at all times Manage bar pacing effectively during high-volume service without sacrificing quality Build genuine connections with bar guests, cultivating regulars and creating personalized experiences Upsell thoughtfully and authentically recommending premium spirits, cocktails, and wine upgrades Bar Operations & Maintenance Set up and break down the bar thoroughly before and after each service Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout the entire shift Monitor and communicate inventory needs, low-stock items, and product quality issues to management Ensure proper rotation of perishables, garnishes, and juices; maintain freshness standards Operate and maintain draft beer systems; identify and report any quality or pressure issues Complete all required opening, running, and closing side work with attention to detail Guest Experience & Hospitality Welcome every guest to the bar with genuine warmth and attentiveness Check identification and adhere strictly to responsible alcohol service guidelines Anticipate guest needs and respond proactively rather than reactively Handle guest concerns and special requests professionally, escalating to management when appropriate Collaborate with servers, kitchen, and management to ensure a seamless dining experience for all guests Team & Floor Support Communicate clearly and professionally with the service team, bar backs, and management at all times Mentor and support Bar Backs, helping to develop their skills and knowledge of the bar program Participate in pre-shift meetings, menu tastings, and ongoing training initiatives Assist in training new bartenders and contribute to team consistency and standards Requirements Minimum 2-3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale casual or full-service dining environment required Demonstrated expertise in classic and craft cocktail preparation required Strong working knowledge of wine (varietals, regions, food pairing) required RAMP certification or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain prior to first shift) Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to stand, move, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout an entire shift Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays Professional appearance and polished communication skills Experience with POS systems; ability to learn new technology quickly Experience in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine-focused dining concepts
