This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is located at 517 West Fleming Drive, Morganton, NC 28655- Burke County, with the NC School for the Deaf.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $15.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.
Management Preferences:
- Assist with basic food preparation, cooking, and baking tasks.
- Follow standardized recipes and production guidelines.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Maintain compliance with sanitation standards outlined in the NC Food Code.
- Perform dishwashing and proper storage of kitchen items.
- Accurately complete required department records and documentation.
- Follow oral and written instructions from supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Support food service operations as needed, including setup and breakdown.
Minimum Education and Experience
