POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for daily operation of the outlet, safely preparing food items, following daily menu rotations and standard recipes, and maintaining the standards of the Family Style Service program. This position also assists the Sous Chefs and Executive Chef in monitoring kitchen safety, techniques, quality, and company assets. This team member must strive for the highest possible standards of food preparation and presentation in each food outlet.

Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and team members, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
- Responsible for supervision and performance of kitchen staff to ensure exemplary customer satisfaction, reporting any issues to Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
- Mentors and assists in training of kitchen staff.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment including but not limited to slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, electric food chopper, and griddles.
- Actively participates with staff to cook, prepare, dish-up and assemble all menu items.
- Ability to organize and delegate work assignments/tasks.
- Must be able to maintain health department standards, which includes writing dates on products, product rotation, maintaining and monitoring proper food temperatures, and overall food quality and appearance.
- Produce and adhere to daily prep and par sheets.
- Ability to minimize waste by creating new dishes to repurpose leftovers and rethink and retool dishes should we run out of ingredients for a particular dish.
- Prepares all food items according to standard recipes/menu to ensure consistency of product for guests.
- Be able to create compound sauces and derivatives of the mother sauces.

- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
Ability to work all shifts as business warrants.
Must wear black, slip resistant shoes, and be in proper uniform at all times. Clean and professional appearance.
Knowledge and demonstration of work place safety procedures Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, computer and telephone as well as radio equipment.
Walking/Standing 100% of which 10% is bending/lifting (overhead up to 50lbs repetitively and push/pull 450 lbs. on a wheeled cart, and 200 lbs. as a team ).
Ability to be at work on time as scheduled which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
- Ability to work fast paced with a sense of urgency.
- To encourage and abide by all health codes and hand washing guidelines .
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read, write, basic math skills, and communicate effectively in order to read recipes, training documents, warning labels on equipment and chemicals, and communicate with other team members.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Cooper County Health Certification Card.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to perform all cooking duties in each outlet.
- Must work as a Cook 2 or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent work experience may include: working as a lead cook or kitchen supervisor and/or managing a staff of employees while in a restaurant environment. In addition, this person would need to possess a good general knowledge of Microsoft office and various cooking methods including, but not limited to, roasting, frying, sauteing, and grilling.
