Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our meat packing facility. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production in a USDA-regulated environment. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on meat processing and packaging equipment including grinders, blenders, formers, conveyors, and vacuum packaging systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and minor electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts usage in compliance with company and union standards.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely, and facilities are in accordance with OSHA, USDA, and company policies.
• Support production uptime by collaborating with operations and sanitation teams, particularly during shift changes and equipment changeovers.
• Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
• Adhere to GMPs, Lockout/Tagout, and all plant safety procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
