Job Title: Head Housekeeper

Weekend availability is required.
Position Overview
The Head Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead, train, and support housekeeping staff while maintaining excellent guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the housekeeping team to ensure daily duties are completed efficiently and according to hotel standards.
Co-ordinating with Front desk and Maintenance staff for room related issues.
Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to ensure quality, cleanliness, and readiness for guest arrivals.
Create daily work assignments and monitor staff productivity.
Interview, train, and onboard new housekeeping employees.
Assist with cleaning guest rooms, laundry, and common areas as needed.
Maintain housekeeping supply inventory and submit supply requests when necessary.
Report and follow up on maintenance issues to ensure timely repairs.
Perform minor maintenance tasks when appropriate, such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and other basic repairs.
Water and maintain outdoor plants and landscaping around the property.
Ensure hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and public areas remain clean and presentable.
Handle lost-and-found items according to company procedures.
Address guest requests and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Ensure all safety, cleanliness, and company standards are consistently followed.
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping experience required; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.
Ability to train, motivate, and lead a team effectively.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Basic knowledge of minor maintenance and repair tasks preferred.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
