Barista & Cafe Team Member - Studio Cafe Monterey

Studio Cafe is a family-owned, green-certified cafe located in the beautiful garden courtyard of Wave Street Studios. We are seeking a friendly, dependable team member who enjoys working with people, making great coffee, and preparing simple cafe food in a fast-paced but welcoming environment.
Position Overview
This position combines barista duties with light food preparation. You'll help create a positive experience for our customers while maintaining a clean, organized cafe.
Responsibilities
Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, tea, and other beverages
Take customer orders and operate the POS system
Prepare and serve light cafe menu items including waffles, bagels, quiche, and baked goods
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
Restock supplies and keep work areas clean
Open and/or close the cafe as needed
Provide excellent customer service and hospitality
Assist with occasional special events at Wave Street Studios
Qualifications
Barista and food preparation experience preferred
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to multitask in a busy environment
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
