A Taste of Britain in Wayne, PA is looking for a dependable, experienced Cafe Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team.

We're a busy daytime restaurant and tea room serving made-from-scratch soups, salads, sandwiches, frittatas, British comfort foods, afternoon tea, and catering. Our kitchen is fast-paced and quality-focused, but without the late nights and high-stress dinner service found in many restaurants.

This position is ideal for cooks with experience in cafes, delis, sandwich shops, catering kitchens, prepared foods, or lunch-focused restaurants.

Assemble and plate sandwiches, salads, afternoon tea selections, and other menu items with consistency and attention to detail

Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep lists to support smooth service

Follow established recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures

Work closely with our kitchen leadership team to maintain an organized, efficient operation

Help produce catering orders, grab-and-go items, and special event menus

Rotate, label, and store ingredients properly to maintain quality and minimize waste

Keep your station clean, stocked, and ready throughout service

At least 2 years of experience in a restaurant, cafe, deli, catering kitchen, or similar food-service environment
Ability to read and execute tickets quickly and accurately

Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

Basic knife skills and understanding of food safety practices

Pride in producing quality food consistently

Positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed

Reliability and strong attendance

No nights! Operating hours are 10:00 AM 5:00 PM
