The Santa Lucia Preserve is a private community dedicated to appreciating and respecting the areas natural beauty, geography, history, and cultural setting. The Preserve's 20,000 acres are home to a lively community of just under 300 families and a team of talented staff. Our Gatehouse at 1 Rancho San Carlos Road is just a few minutes from Highway 1 in Carmel. A scenic private road takes you into the heart of The Preserve in just 20 minutes.
The Santa Lucia Preserve is hiring for 2 seasonal Housekeepers to provide the maximum quality of cleanliness for our members and guests during our busy season from June to October. The schedule varies but weekend and holiday availability is required.
One Hacienda position has hours of 9 am - 5.30 pm daily, days vary.
Our Fitness Center position has later hours of 1.30 pm - 10.00 pm Wednesday to Sunday.
Responsibilities include:
Provide housekeeping services for guest rooms at the Hacienda, the sports center, glamping tents, and other guest areas.
Make beds, clean bathrooms, closets, empty trash, realign moved furniture, check for items left by guests throughout room, maintain and replace used amenities, dust, inspect furniture for damage, check under all furniture for debris, dust and clean baseboards, clean lamps, dust drapes and position correctly, reset clocks and TV, and clean patios or balconies.
Clean the Fitness Center by replacing dirty towels, removing garbage, wiping all surfaces, cleaning mirrors, exercise equipment, floors, lobby, toilets, showers and lockers.
Assist with laundry including washing, drying and folding towels as well as washing and folding house linen.
Positive interaction with fellow team members and the community as a whole
Work according to standards to ensure consistency
Qualifications include:
Previous experience in housekeeping preferred
Professional demeanor, ethical behavior and be able to communicate in English
