Janitor/ Yard Person

General Summary

Sweeps floors, scrubs, dusts, washes, and cleans floors, workstations and equipment in office. Cleans washrooms, replenishes supplies, removes scrap or waste paper and trash. Responsible for the upkeep of the parking lot and maintaining outside walkways.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, and common areas.

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.

• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.

• Restock supplies such as toilet paper and soap.

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.

• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management.

• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals properly.

• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions.

• Assist with setting up facilities for events or meetings.

• Adhere to schedules and complete tasks efficiently.

• Perform routine safety inspections.

• Assist maintenance personnel when needed .

Requirements:

• Prior janitorial experience 2 years.

• Detail oriented.

• Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English.

Physical Requirements:

Individual must meet or exceed the following physical requirements: Repetitive bending to a 90% angle, pulling or pushing objects/lifting repetitively weighing up to 50 pounds.

A background check is required prior to starting the assignment.
