The Lunchroom is looking for a part-time Server who is friendly and outgoing to join our team at our Wilmette location. As a meaningful component of their time with us, this role is key to achieving our goal of delivering a memorable experience for all who dine with us. We offer a small team where all team members contributions are valued.

The Lunchroom sits inside SPACE 519 and is a 40-seat breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch restaurant with an all-day cafe. SPACE 519 has been lauded by The New York Times , Vogue, Architectural Digest, InStyle and many more. In August, SPACE 519 | The Lunchroom began a new chapter with the opening of a second location in the much-anticipated historic redevelopment of Plaza del Lago in Wilmette. The Server will be professional and polished in appearance; gracious and friendly in demeanor; and ready to deliver exceptional service to the stores upscale clientele. Previous restaurant | cafe serving experience of at least 2 years, excellent communications skills and a positive energy are required. Keen attention to detail, fine dining experience and the ability to be part of an effective team are paramount.

General Responsibilities + Expectations:

• Provide an elevated and exceptional dining experience for guests.
• Learn and understand The Lunchroom menu (including seasonal specials) to guide patrons in their dining choices.
• Use subtle upselling techniques to sell alcoholic and specialty coffee drinks, appetizers and desserts.
• Maintain service pace and standards by assisting in food running, removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses and being alert to guests needs.
• Roll silverware, polish glassware, set up stations and prepare for next shift.
• Work as part of a team assisting other servers to provide all guests with the very best service
• Weekend and morning availability.
