Server - The Sausage Factory**
The Sausage Factory is a long-standing Italian American restaurant in the heart of the Castro, proudly serving San Francisco and the LGBT community since 1968. Were looking to add an experienced server to join our front-of-house team.
This position is for someone who already knows how to serve. We are not looking to train on the basicsonly to get the right person familiar with our menu, steps-of-service, and house standards.
This role is not a fit for someone who frequently calls off or is unreliable, needs constant direction to stay on task, or struggles to keep up during busy shifts.
Duties
* Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
* Take accurate orders using SmartTab POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
* Suggestively sell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
* Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of service
* Manage guest relations by checking back to address and resolve guest concerns
* Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
Requirements (non-negotiable):
** Nights and Sunday availability are a must**
* Minimum 2 years of experience serving in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or hotel
* Has some basic knowledge of wine and Italian food
* Ability to work well with a variety of guests and coworkers and to manage those relationships responsibly
* Ability to work 3 shifts weekly
* Able to stand up to 6 hours
* Can lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
* Reliable, punctual, and professional
* Is self-motivated and proactive about learning the menu and offerings
