CopperLeaf Bakery is seeking a reliable, skilled Line Cook to join our savory kitchen team.

We are a busy, all-day bakery cafe serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. Our menu focuses on elevated sandwiches, seasonal toasts, composed salads, and brunch-driven plates executed with consistency and speed.

We are looking for a cook who works with urgency, maintains a clean and organized station, and takes pride in executing recipes precisely.
Ability to communicate in and understand English proficiently is required for this job.

Responsibilities
  • Execute breakfast, lunch, and aperitivo hour service with consistency and efficiency

  • Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipe standards

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station

  • Follow daily prep lists and communicate low inventory

  • Work collaboratively during peak service

  • Uphold NYC food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen

  • Strong knife skills

  • Ability to follow recipes and plating accurately

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced cafe environment

  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

  • Weekend availability required

This is a hands-on line cook position. We value consistency, professionalism, and accountability. Familiarity with a variety of cuisines is a major plus.

Compensation

$19$22/hour based on experience, skill level, and seriousness This is for a position that is up to 30 hours. Mornings, evenings, and weekend availability required
