Janitor

In this role you will maintain the cleanliness of public areas, offices, and complete other general cleaning tasks as assigned to keep the building pristine.

Starting salary $20 per hour (Part-time), Evenings and Every Other Weekend!

  Job Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas throughout the community, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for residents, families, visitors, and team members.

• Remove trash and debris from grounds, common areas, and waste receptacles on a regular basis.

• Empty waste baskets and dispose of garbage in accordance with community policies and procedures.

• Assist with apartment turnover cleaning to prepare residences for new residents, including deep cleaning and sanitation as needed.

• Clean floors, windows, restrooms, hallways, entrances, and other common areas according to established schedules.

• Safely and properly use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies while following all safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply needs to the appropriate supervisor.

• Support the overall housekeeping and environmental services team as needed to maintain community standards.

• Follow all infection control, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

• Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, custodial, or commercial cleaning services preferred.
• Demonstrates pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Good communication skills and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of the safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must be able to work safely while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
