HUALAPAI PREFERENCE Position: Night Auditor and Front Desk Clerk Lodge Department: Hualapai Lodge Classification: Non-Exempt Salary Range: H4 Supervisor: Front Desk Supervisor Disclaimer: Position Description is not meant to encompass all aspects of position, other duties may be assigned. Position Summary: Ensures daily postings are accurate from the Restaurant, Gift Shop and Lodge. Handles night time Lodge accommodation reservations, check-ins and payments. Accepts cash and credit payments and makes change appropriately. Answers all questions concerning Hualapai tourism options and Hualapai history and culture. Ensures outstanding customer service for guests and acts as a Hualapai ambassador. Knowledge and Abilities: 1. Ability to interact with guests and tour groups and provide prompt, outstanding customer service while handling accommodations at the Lodge. 2. Ability to understand questions being asked and provide detailed information regarding tourism options. 3. Ability to handle high cash and credit transactions and follow cash handling policies and procedures. 4. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner, even when busy. 5. Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships. 6. Ability to handle difficult customer situations or escalate when necessary. 7. Knowledge of Grand Canyon West locations, Hualapai River Running and Hualapai history and culture. 8. Ability to use appropriate computer software and good mathematical skills. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Handle daily postings from Lodge, Gift Shop and Restaurant. 2. Greet and interact with guests arriving at the Lodge promptly being courteous, friendly and helpful. Provide tourism option information. 3. Handle guest and group check-ins and check-outs. 4. Follow proper cash and credit handling policies and procedures while completing transactions. 5. Respond to guests questions regarding Grand Canyon West and Hualapai River Running. Provide information concerning cost of tours, length of tours, tour operating hours, seasons of operation, weather, pricing discounts, etc. 6. Provide guests information concerning Hualapai history and culture. 7. Provide outstanding customer service. 8. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: 1. Good oral communication skills. 2. Good mathematical skills. 3. High School Diploma or GED. 4. Prior cash handling, customer service or bookkeeping experience preferred. 5. Computer literate. 6. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members. Working Conditions: Office and hotel lobby environment. Must be able to work varying schedules, split shifts, weekends and holidays. | Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screen and extensive background check may be required. Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) is wholly-owned by the Hualapai Tribe and is located in Peach Springs, Arizona. In 1988, the Hualapai People, who have been part of this land since time immemorial, established GCRC, welcoming millions of visitors each year to tour the area. The year 1883 is when the reservation was established, and occupiers are usually foreign to the land they occupy. To further increase tourism in the area, the Grand Canyon Skywalk was built in 2007. The Skywalk is a glass, horseshoe-shaped bridge that enables visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West, suspending them 4,000 feet above the riverbed and providing an unparalleled view of this natural wonder.
