Under the direction of the Grounds/Custodial Supervisor, clean and maintain plant offices, lunchrooms, and restrooms in a clean, safe and orderly condition.

- Empty trash
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors.
- Clean restrooms and locker rooms
- Assist with event set up and furniture move.
- Assist with meeting room set ups (layout, food, trash)
- Stock cleaning and paper supplies
- Change light bulbs
- Monitor eyewash station and replace solution every three months.
- Monitor shred units for oil
- Repair/replace ceiling titles as needed
- Collect and recycle light bulbs, batteries and aluminum cans and dispose of properly.
- Distribute 5-gallon water bottles
- Manage pest control programs
- Monitor daily working conditions of toilets, sinks, floor traps, garbage disposals, ice machines, lights, gutters, and electrical ice melts in walkways.
- Must be able to operate/drive small utility vehicle and forklift on various occasions.
- Monitor working order of lockers
- Assist with snow removal
- Must be physically and mentally fit for duty.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Dependable and able to maintain the attendance required to perform the job.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and fully understand: SOPs, SDSs, labeling, safety and health regulations, and procedures within the job, this job group and the plant.
- General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques for cleaning.
- Proactivity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience cleaning preferred; training will be provided.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- The job is in a dusty and dirty environment.
- Working in a hot and/or cold environment.
- Shift varies from early morning start and weekends as needed.
- Noise is usually moderate (vacuum and other cleaning equipment).
- Required to wear respirator, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
- Must be able to qualify for and wear a respirator as needed.
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, climb, push and pull objects for extended periods of time; walk during the daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time; repetitive bending and arm movements.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- It is understood that if a job is offered, applicant must consent to taking a pre-employment drug screening test and/or physical examination as a condition of beginning employment. It may also be required that a drug screening test and/or physical examination be taken in the future as needed to determine fitness for duty.
