Job DetailsThe Lunchroom is looking for full-time and part-time Baristas to join our team at our new location at Plaza del Lago in Wilmette. This position will work mornings and days to create exceptional hot and cold beverages quickly and efficiently, while also ensuring the cleanliness and organization of service areas. This role is an integral part of the FOH team and maintains a friendly, positive and professional attitude . We offer a small team where all team members contributions are valued.
Prior knowledge of manual espresso equipment is essential, as baristas are expected to dial-in shots and make adjustments throughout the day to maintain quality and consistency. In addition to preparing a variety of espresso and non-espresso drinks, this position will also make cocktails according to our recipes and preparation techniques.
Our ideal candidate will be organized and precise with an eye towards consistency and quality. They must be able to work independently. Our environment requires our team to be professional in appearance and polished to deliver exceptional output to the stores upscale clientele.
In our Gold Coast location downtown, The Lunchroom sits inside SPACE 519, a meticulously curated fashion and lifestyle destination recently featured in The New York Times . The Lunchroom, a 40-seat breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch restaurant with an all-day cafe, is winner of OpenTable Diners Choice, Chicago Magazines Hot List, and Modern Luxury Brunch Buzz. This concept will be entirely replicated at the much-anticipated historic redevelopment of Plaza del Lago.
