The Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance & emergency repairs to production-assigned machinery to improve equipment reliability & glove quality, as part of the maintenance team. This position is 3rd shift, hours are 11 pm-7 am, and must be available to work weekends if scheduled. The pay rate begins at $24 p/hr. plus 3rd shift differential.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for daily plant maintenance in the following areas: electrical; electronics; and machine maintenance.
  • Responsible for equipment and building maintenance for processing and building infrastructure (utilities, MCC, fire safety, compressed air, boiler, alarm, MIS, forklift fleet, HVAC, etc.)
  • Performs machine set-up and repair assembly and packaging equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines on all production equipment.
  • Install, debug and stabilize plant equipment as required.
  • Assist in Production/Maintenance-related assignments as needed.
  • Communicate regarding issues and problem solve with Production staff any quality and safety concerns.
  • Record maintenance data as directed by the Maintenance Manager to monitor equipment performance, i.e. work orders, time cards
  • Identify and report equipment concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Participate in overtime assignments as required.
  • Provide "on-call" coverage as needed.
  • Perform other various similar and related duties as required by the Manager.

Qualifications
  • Must have HS Diploma or GED. Associate's Maintenance Technology field preferred and or equivalent Education, Experience, and Training.
  • 1-5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Through knowledge of Maintenance jargon, GMP's, Maintenance Best Practices Knowledge; OSHA, safety, etc.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions manuals, and schematics.
  • Experience/Certification in any of the following areas desirable: electrical, machinist, welding, PLC Control Systems, and networks.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • The job is performed in production areas where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, and airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
