Customer Service Representative The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the primary resource for guiding our customers through the order process and can have a direct impact on our sales by cultivating long-term relationships with our customers. The role contributes to the company's success by ensuring that our customers find doing business with Olympian Machine, a Datwyler Company exceeds their expectations. The CSR is responsible for delivering an exceptional service experience to every internal and external customer. The CSR ensures customer satisfaction by understanding the customers' needs and expectations and providing timely, professional and proactive communication.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary contact with assigned accounts
Process purchase orders and requests for quotations
Quote and procure material for customer orders
Provide customers with product and delivery information
Work closely with site management to meet customers' requirements
Coordinate and assist in the resolution of customer complaints
Ensure order entry and order acknowledgement is completed in a timely manner and that all order information is accurate
Facilitate product, pricing, technical and quality requests
May serve as a back up for other CSRs when needed
Develops the trust and respect of customers through timeliness, accuracy, and dependability
Guide customers through the material complaint process including processing replacement orders and credits in a timely manner
Ability to recover effectively from a service failure while turning it into an opportunity to strengthen customer relationships
Look for opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the order handling process
May participate in the interdepartmental meetings, audits and/or other duties as assigned
Adhere to all HSES procedures and practices to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other jo-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
7-10 years' customer service experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous use of SAP preferred
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency of Microsoft Office
Strong math skills, including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication and division in all units of measure
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team; both within the department and other departments
Detail oriented with ability to prioritize and follow through with commitment
Exceptional problem-solving and multi-tasking skills and can easily adapt to change
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Must have strong work ethic, professional attitude, be detailed oriented and reliable
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit as a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
