Job brief
We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu including our banquet menu.
An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important.
The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.
Responsibilities
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and Mise en Place
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow executive chef's instructions
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Exhibit teamwork with the back-of-house team, coworkers, and management
Requirements
Proven cooking experience
Ability to follow recipes
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy, speed and a sense of urgency in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry's best practices
Able to work and perform in a high stress environment
Able to lift, push, pull up to 50 Lbs
Pay based off of experience
Shift:
8 hour shift
Night shift
Experience:
BOH restaurant experience: 1 year (Required
