**Job Summary:**
The Patient Services Coordinator I plays a key role in ensuring efficient and compassionate services for patients. This position involves coordinating patient appointments, managing medical records, and providing administrative support to healthcare providers.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role is advantageous
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor when interacting with patients
**Responsibilities:**
- Schedule patient appointments and follow up on appointment reminders
- Assist patients with inquiries, providing information about services and procedures
- Maintain and update patient records with accurate information
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, staff, and patients
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Ensure adherence to patient confidentiality guidelines and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes
