Big Woods Franklin is looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to join our kitchen as a blended Cook and Dishwasher. This hybrid role is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly-prepping and cooking food during service and ensuring a clean, organized workspace before, during and after shifts. Key Responsibilities:
Cooking Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist with food prep (chopping, portioning, marinating, etc.).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep and cook stations.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Communicate with kitchen team to ensure timely service.
Dishwasher Duties:
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of dish area and kitchen floors.
- Take out trash and recyclables regularly.
- Assist with closing duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or dishwasher is a plus but not required—willing to train the right person.
- Ability to multitask and switch between roles as needed.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
