Job DetailsAt Fat Rosies Taco & Tequila Bar , we bring bold flavors, unforgettable energy, and a whole lot of fun to every dining experience. Were looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our back-of-house leadership team and help drive excellence in food quality, kitchen operations, and team development.
What Youll Do:
As a Sous Chef, youll be a key partner to the Executive Chef and leadership team, helping to manage kitchen operations and uphold our high standards. Youll also:
- Ensure consistent food quality across purchasing, receiving, storage, prep, execution, and service.
- Conduct and document line checks before each meal shift to ensure compliance and readiness.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on weekly labor forecasts to hit labor cost targets.
- Help lead the creation and execution of BOH schedules that align with budget and projected business levels.
- Monitor and enforce back-of-house systems including ordering, receiving, inventory, and storage.
- Ensure proper product purchasing and pricing controls are in place and followed.
- Maintain food and labor costs at or below company standards.
- Support the Executive Chef, General Manager, Managers, and fellow Sous Chefs with performance management plans and problem-solving leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen and restaurant operations.
What Were Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and kitchen standards
- Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk throughout the shift
- Knowledge of food allergy protocols and proper food handling procedures
Required Certifications:
- Valid Manager State Food Service Sanitation Certificate
- Allergen Certification
