Sanitation Janitor- 3rd shift

Richelieu Foods is seeking a 3rd shift Sanitation Janitor that will be responsible for the housekeeping of our Wheeling manufacturing plant and corporate office areas. The hours are Monday thru Friday from 10:30pm to 7am. You may potentially work 6 days based on pizza production volume.

Richelieu Foods, Inc., a Freiberger Group Company, is a leading supplier of high-quality food products to the private label and food service industries. The company has two manufacturing centers that produce frozen & deli pizza, and pizza crusts.

Essential Functions

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors in the bathroom, break room, and office areas.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Timely notification to Maintenance and Supervision of equipment problem.
• Notify Supervision of actual or potential problems.
• Must be able to follow verbal instructions from Supervision.
• Responsible for overall compliance with GMPs, proper sanitation, and housekeeping in area.
• Responsible for the use of the required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Other duties may be assigned by Management or volunteered for.

Qualifications

• 1-year minimum previous janitorial experience

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, chemical labels, procedures, instructions, and schedules.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Work Environment

• The employee is frequently exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• 3rd Shift 10:30 pm to 7:30am Monday through Friday.
• Some Saturdays depending on production volume.

Universal Pay Verbiage:

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $17.00 and $18.00. This role is also eligible for overtime compensation.
