Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be tasked with completing a daily work order list and conducting plant inspections. You will repair and troubleshoot gear boxes, drivers, conveyors, and motors, as well as diagnose and repair packaging equipment. Your role will involve performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing plant equipment, working with pistons that operate at 2000 RPM, heat exchangers, and gauge systems. You will be responsible for replacing sprockets, gear boxes, and three-phase motors, reading blueprints, P & ID Loops, and understanding basic electrical concepts such as troubleshooting relays, wiring, and high voltage. Electrical skills for pulling wire and running conduit are essential. A general understanding of maintenance on boilers and refrigeration systems, including Freon and Ammonia, is required.
**Responsibilities**
+ Complete daily work order list and conduct plant inspections.
+ Repair and troubleshoot gear boxes, drivers, conveyors, and motors.
+ Diagnose and repair packaging equipment.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing plant equipment.
+ Work with pistons, heat exchangers, and gauge systems.
+ Replace sprockets, gear boxes, and three-phase motors.
+ Read blueprints and P & ID Loops.
+ Understand basic electrical concepts and troubleshoot relays, wiring, and high voltage.
+ Pull wire and run conduit.
+ Maintain boilers and understand refrigeration systems.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 5 years of mechanic experience.
+ Great attitude, work ethic, and team-first mentality.
+ Flexibility with work days and shifts.
+ Passion for industrial maintenance mechanics.
+ Ability to adapt and adjust to varying tasks.
+ Firefighter mentality with willingness to jump in and help as needed.
+ Willingness to learn and grow.
+ Mechanical skills related to industrial plant manufacturing.
+ Basic electrical skills.
+ Understanding of hydraulics and air compressors.
+ Basic refrigeration skills.
+ Ability to read P & ID prints.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ PLC troubleshooting.
+ Welding/fabrication skills.
+ Experience with boilers.
+ Stationary Engineering License (Maryland 1st OR DC 3rd).

Employees must be flexible with shifts, typically starting on the night shift, and be open to on-call duties. Shifts include 11pm-7am, 12am-8am, 3-11pm, and 7-3pm, with consistent days off each week.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $38.91 - $38.91/hr.
