Are you ready to join the Epic team at Loco Social as a Barista?
As a barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages while providing exceptional customer service. You will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, taking orders, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines.
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Provide product recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Assist with training new baristas when required.
Cash Handling:
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, including cash and card transactions.
- Manage the cash register and ensure a balanced drawer at the end of the shift.
Customer Engagement:
- Foster a positive atmosphere by engaging with customers and creating a welcoming environment.
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and techniques is a plus.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment.
High School Diploma and previous customer service experience preferr ed
