Housekeeping Supervisor

Inspect the performance of assigned Room Attendants and Houseman, ensuring that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards. Assist where necessary to ensure optimum guest service. The supervisors are responsible for the day to day performance of the Housekeeping team. The supervisor's job is to guide the group towards its goal and resolve problems as they arise.

• Staffing: train, delegate, direct, discipline, motivate, and supervise housekeeping staff
• Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met.
• Scheduling staff shifts and organizing replacements as required.
• Investigating and addressing complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
• Providing training to the housekeeping staff.
• Regularly taking inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed.
• Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed.
• Screening housekeeping applicants and recommending promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
• Performing various cleaning duties in instances of staff shortages.
• Work closely with Front Desk team regarding arriving guests, stayovers and departures.
• Prioritize rooms on Q - for newly arrived guests, and work with Room Attendants to expedite room cleaning where necessary
